Sesotunawa Brass Smudge/Candle Holder - Circle Base
Handcrafted brass made by the T’boli brass casters based in the southern part of the Philippines

The art of brass casting otherwise known as Temwel, is traditionally made by a brass caster (Tau Temwel) from broken gongs traded with other groups in nearby towns. In modern days, the Tau Temwel finds brass materials from metal upcycling metal scraps. The materials are then cooked, molded, cooled and scrubbed clean. Cleaning takes days and involves families and entire communities. While this is an arduous process, the Tau Temwel is also making sure that they are blessed by good Fu (spirits).
Each holder is hand made and can differ slightly from the next
For safety purposes, make sure candle holders are standing on flat surfaces and taper candle is placed firmly into holder
Can also be used to hold your favorite smudge, incense, pen or pencil
